Welcome to C.C.V.C.
Come visit us
Our low cost non profit clinic is here to help serve the needs of Coastal Georgia residents and their pets.
Just as the name suggests we are a veterinary clinic for the community, we offer routine and preventative care, vaccinations and low cost spay and neutering as well as other minor surgical procedures. We can also provide behavioral counseling for most common problems. We encourage input and feedback from the public on what services you would like us to provide and how we can do a better job taking care of your animals.
While we wish we could do everything for free, unfortunately that is just not possible. We are making every effort possible to keep prices as fair and reasonable as we can for everyone and thus, are not able to provide additional discounts.
There are no conditions or restrictions on who can bring their animals to us - we are open to all. In addition to dogs and cats C.C.V.C also welcomes non-avian exotics such as reptiles, amphibians,"pocket pets", rabbits, ferrets, etc.
Currently, we are not set up to provide care for seriously injured pets, pets needing hospitalization, X-ray services or emergencies. We do hope in the future that this will change but for now, should your pet(s) condition fall into one of those categories we recommend seeking care from one of the other area veterinary hospitals equipped to handle such scenarios.
Non-surgical services, such as but not limited to routine care, preventative care and vaccinations are available by appointments and on a walk-in basis. Although appointments do take priority over walk-in clients we do make every effort possible to minimize the wait time of our walk-in patients and due to the growing popularity of our clinic we are encouraging our clients to make an appointment whenever possible since we simply cannot guarantee wait times for walk-ins. Please keep in mind surgeries DO require appointments and the surgery schedules do book up fast.
We now carry most common prescription pet medications including but not limited to heartworm and flea preventatives. If your pet needs something that we do not carry or already have on hand we can supply written prescriptions for these medications to be filled at a local or online pharmacy of your choice (many area pharmacies carry a wide range of pet medication). Due to limited space we do not keep in-stock, prescription diets, but we can order them upon request. For best service please give us a 5 - 7 day notice of your needs for these products. We also ask that you please share with us the medications you would like for us to carry if we do not already have them available.
Starting August 2014 our appointment and surgery schedules will be changing, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s will be surgery by appointment only days, Thursdays will be for non-surgical appointments and Fridays will be walk-ins in the mornings and scheduled appointments during the afternoon, we will still accept walk-in in the afternoon those with scheduled appontments will be priority. We will also plan to be open the 1st and 3rd Saturday each month for non-surgical walk-ins. Saturdays are subject to change due to holidays or for unforseen emergency reasons so we ask that you check back or call to verify each month the dates.
Finally, we look forward to being partners with our fellow animal lovers and owners in providing our beloved pets with healthy and happy lives. Thank you for loving and caring for your animal!
